My client is listed as the owner in the land registry of the property located in ... province, ... district, ... neighborhood, ... block, ... parcel number. However, my client changed their name and surname by court order on ... date. Their former name was ... and surname was ..., while their new name is ... and surname is ....

My client's former name and surname are still listed in the land registry. This situation makes it difficult for my client to carry out official transactions and causes various problems. For example, when my client wants to sell or rent their property, they encounter difficulties due to the discrepancy between the name and surname on their identity document and the name and surname in the land registry.

According to Article 1027 of the Turkish Civil Code, the information in the land registry must be accurate and up-to-date. As stated in the precedents of the Supreme Court's civil law chambers, applications can be made to the courts to correct errors in land registry records.
