In Türkiye, bankruptcy is not a frequently used method of voluntary business liquidation or debt collection. This can be attributed to factors such as the lack of a favorable environment for creditors, the priority given to public debts, and the high risk of legal and criminal sanctions for those declaring bankruptcy.
Our office provides services in bankruptcy matters, although this is not widely practiced in Türkiye, as well as in "bankruptcy postponement," a newer system that is more common in practice and combines restructuring and composition with creditors procedures.
Our lawyers provide services to companies regarding the restructuring of their debts, financing, and business models, as well as representation and consultancy services for creditors on the use of legal remedies against improperly applied bankruptcy postponement proceedings.
