PETITION FOR MATERIAL AND MORAL DAMAGES DUE TO THE BREAKUP OF ENGAGEMENT

SUBJECT OF THE LAWSUIT: Claim for material and moral damages due to the dissolution of the engagement.
EXPLANATIONS:
1- I became engaged to the defendant on February 25, 2020. While our engagement period was ongoing, the defendant cheated on me with a close friend. We ended the engagement due to the infidelity.
2- The breaking of the engagement has caused me both financial and emotional harm. During the engagement period, I made certain expenditures on wedding preparations and household items because I believed we would get married. Furthermore, I suffered significant emotional distress due to the defendant's infidelity with his close friend.
3- Due to the dissolution of the engagement, I have the right to claim material and moral damages pursuant to Articles 120 and subsequent articles of the Turkish Civil Code. Therefore, I am requesting 50,000 TL in material damages and 50,000 TL in moral damages.
LEGAL GROUNDS: Articles 118-123 of the Turkish Civil Code and other relevant legislation.
LEGAL EVIDENCE: 1- Engagement photos, 2- Photos related to the infidelity, 3- Witness statements, 4- Receipts for expenses incurred for wedding preparations and household goods.
